First Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser
On April 1st, 2012, Makeover Your MS and Rockland Jewish Family Service will join together with Lord and Taylor of the Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack, New York to host the first ever “Spring Into Fashion” fashion show fundraiser featuring women living with Multiple Sclerosis. Recognizing the correlation between appearance and self-‐esteem, their objective is to give women living with MS some valuable insights into ways in which they can improve their daily quality of life.
With the help of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Southern New York Chapter, they have assembled a roster of models living with MS ranging in age, race and level of disability that represent the broad group of individuals living with MS and the true faces of MS.
Fashions exhibited will be modeled by women living with MS and will highlight ease of use while being right on target with Spring 2012 trends featuring nudes with a bright pop of color like the MS signature shade of orange. The show will demonstrate how the latest fashions are equally accessible to women living with Multiple Sclerosis.
The show will also feature makeup advice from Makeover Your MS founder Verena Frydberg in collaboration with the beauty team from Lord and Taylor. The makeup artists from various lines including Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Chanel, Clinique, Lancome and Estee Lauder among others will be on hand to beautify the models in the season’s latest trends and dress guests with a pop of orange on the lips.
The room will be set to accommodate 100 guests who will be served a light brunch.
